Thankful Thursday..

I used Thursday to list what I have been thankful for this week because it is my FRIDAY... Nice huh?? I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far, but mine has been BUSY! Whoa! I feel like I have not stopped all week. I guess that is what happens when you are in school full time, work, homework, social life, etc. Mr. S has been EXTREMELY busy at work, which is good, but I feel like I have not seen him at ALL this week, and I hate that! I plan on spending my weekend with him, so I can love on him! ( too much, i know...) Anywho, here ya go...

1. Children...This goes without saying, but they bring joy

to alllllllll of our lives. I am beyond blessed to be in a

profession where I get to work with children each

and everyday. Thank you, Lord...

2. This has been a CRAZY week, but ANY sleep and

relaxtion I could get, I took advantage of it. I LOVE my bed!

3. My parents Pear trees are starting to bloom!

It gets me SO excited for Spring around the corner.

We lately have been having YUCKY weather, but I

know it is somewhere arounnnnnnd the corner :)

4. My Aveeno Moisturizer is about the ONLY

thing that has kept me from peeling like a peanut this week.

I did not even burn last week in Florida, but for some reason

my skin feels the need to peel! GRRR! I swear by this stuff..

5. With all the yucky weather we have had this week,

my HUNTER Wellies have come in handy! I am VERY

thankful for these pretties this week! I hate rain and cold weather! UGH!

Of course, I am more than thankful for my Lord Jesus Christ each and every week, so I wanted to include OTHER things that I was thankful for this week :) Have a blessed weekend!!!

Apricot Glazed Chicken

I love For the Love of Cooking's blog. Her recipes are so easy to follow and they are so healthy! I made this recipe a few nights ago and my family loved it! I have prepared it several times and it is ALWAYS a hit! I served it with a vegetable, rice, and macaroni and cheese. It would really go with just about anything because it is so light. If you are a fan of chicken, apricot jelly, or red wine vinegar, I HIGHLY suggest it! You can check out the recipe here.

Stripes

Striped t-shirts, Striped jackets, striped blouses, etc....Stripes are in, people! I love it, because it is so classic, southern, and they go with just about anything. Most of you know, I do a lot of my shopping online, so I have seen nothing but stripes everywhere. I am still in school, so my Summer wardrobe consists of items that I can throw on to go to class, the pool, or babysit. I like light dresses, linen, flowy t-shirts, etc. I very rarely where wedges or heels in the summer, because I'm more about comfort during the day. I'm not a HUGE fan of Forever 21, but I am here to praise them with their clothing this Spring and Summer. They have made several pieces that I love,love with stripes! I'm going to share a few things that I have found and plan on purchasing for my closet. Enjoy!!

I would pair this with white jeans or white shorts. So cute!

This is a light yellow. My hair is red, so I have to be very careful

with the color yellow, but this would be adorable!

I love to layer! I'm the queen of layering. I would layer

this with just about any solid tee and skinny jeans.

Same goes for this one. I would layer and pair with skinny jeans.

This is a great everyday top to throw on with skinny jeans or shorts.

I think this striped dress is ADORABLE! I would pair it

with a cute sandal during the day, but would more than likely

wear this dress at night and dress it up.

Spring Wish List items....

I am sure all of you have been switching out your closets and getting your Spring/Summer items out. I recently did the same, but of course, I want to update/buy a few things on my Wish list, so I get excited about Spring! :) Have you all been buying things for Spring? Have you done Spring cleaning yet?? What is on your wish list???

I LOVE White jeans. They look so cute with a

cute floral blouse or cardigan and tee.

I love my TOY watches, but I am really loving a black leather band watch.

I have been looking online for awhile now. I can't wait to purchase one!

I have blogged about this little pretty for awhile now, but

I am still saving up for it. When you are in college, it can take awhile ;)

I cannot wait to add this pretty green handbag to my Spring wardrobe.

Going to the Chapel...

The weekend before we left for Florida we had a wedding to go to. It was really fun! Mr. S and I were very exhausted the next morning because we stayed out WAY too late, but it was well worth it! I took lots and lots of pictures while at the wedding. I want to share a few with you:

My Spring Break week..

I have been MIA all week, but I have been in Florida! :) I was on Spring Break all week. Mr. S and I had a WONDERFUL time and did NOT want to come home! We had wonderful weather and the water was crystal clear. AHHH! Just talking about it, I want to get in the car and go back. Hope you all are having a fantastic day! I have had a BUSY day! Yesterday was, too! I had nails and toes appointment, spray tan appointment, eye brow wax appointment, and hair appointment! I feel like a new person now. ;) Here are a few pictures for you:

If I was on an island....

I recently had a conversation with a reader and they were curious about what I would "need" or "take" if I was stuck on an island.....First of all, many of you might think I'm a bit weird or odd when I say this, but the "survival" items most people would need were NO WHERE ON MY LIST! Crazy, huh?? :) My parents and Mr. S know me better than that, so they honestly would NOT be surprised! So, I have thought it over...Here are the "things" that Delta Daisies' would need/take:

1. I can not live WITHOUT my Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion.

It would be the FIRST thing in my bag...No joke, kids.

2. Joico K-Pak Leave-in Protectant.

Once again, I CANNOT live without this stuff, guys.

3. Call me crazy, but I don't care. This candy is my 

FAVORITE. I honestly think I am addicted....

Mr. S is, too, so whatev'...I will have a bag before I leave

to go ANYYYYWHERE... =)

4. This is probably a stupid one because most

people cannot live without their cellphones, but I am baddd...

My Blackberry Torch is my bestfriend..I love the calendar,

Twitter app, Blackberry Messenger, etc. The phone would

probably not even WORK on an island, but I sure as hell would try!

5. I am a HUGE Water drinker, so if I knew I was going

somewhere without Smart water, I would probably take my

own! I love the taste of this water! It is absoutely my fav!

6. Last, but not least....My Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.

This little "goddess" goes with me everywhere! I love it...

Random Tuesday...

Here are a few things that I'm thankful for today and what's on my mind for this Random Tuesday!

I had a bag of Chex Mix today and I forgot how much I LOVE it!

( Don't worry, I only had a 1/2 cup out of the BIG bag..)

I think I have had an entire pot of coffee today. It is

definitely winter again here in the Memphis area..GRRR

I'm counting the days until I leave for Florida. It might

not be really warm when I get there, but I don't care!

I'm ready for Spring Break!

Best of all, my BEAUTIFUL Mother has a

birthday today! Happy Birthday, Mom!

Corey Lynn Calter..

I have recently been shopping around for cocktail dresses, casual dresses, etc. I have several weddings, a Florida trip, and lake weekends planned. I'm starting to get back into the sizes that I want, so I'm ready to start buying some "goodies!" I have always loved Corey Lynn Calter's line, but I always thought it was a little young for me.
